Think about wood, stone or handmade tile: their beauty comes partly from variation. Natural wallcovering should be approached with a similar mindset.
Grasscloth installations frequently show the individual panels more clearly than conventional printed wallpaper.
Depending on the material, seams and tonal differences between adjacent panels may remain visible in the finished installation.
That does not automatically indicate poor workmanship. It can be an inherent characteristic of the product.
This is why expectations should be established during selection, not after the wall is finished.
A small sample is extremely useful—but natural material cannot always be judged as though every yard will be identical to that sample.

Yes—but the answer should not stop there.
Hawaii's climate does not automatically eliminate natural wallcovering. At the same time, Maui properties do not all experience identical conditions.
A climate-controlled resort residence, an Upcountry home and a naturally ventilated coastal property can behave differently. The room matters too.
